On October 12th, the Network convened partners in Rochester for two events focused on meeting the ambitious new statewide supportive housing development goals. On October 16th, a beautiful, autumn day, Concern for Independent Living celebrated the opening of Renaissance Village, a 123-unit mixed-income supportive housing development in Middle Island, Suffolk County. Read more.

On an unseasonably warm sunny morning in late October, some fifty friends, staff, partners and well-wishers gathered in the front yard of 411 Vanderbilt to celebrate the long-awaited opening of Project Hospitality’s (PH) first single site supportive housing residence in its 35 year history of serving homeless people on Staten Island. After nearly three years of service, our very talented Robin Pagliuco has gone on to become the Director of Coordinated Entry at the NYC Human Resources Administration. We would like to thank Robin for her dedication and look forward to working with her closely in her new role.

We are happy to announce that on Monday, October 23 ^rd, Melissa Rosenberg joined our team as a new policy analyst. She comes to us from the NYC Office of Management and Budget, where she analyzed budgets and prepared briefings for various mayoral offices and senior city officials. Melissa has a Master of Public Administration from NYU's Wagner School and is a current member of Manhattan Community Board 7, where she sits on the housing committee. Melissa’s role at the Network will focus on housing development and finance. Additionally, after six dedicated years, Senior Policy Analyst Edline Jacquet has moved on to become the Policy Director at FPWA. Edline has been a fierce advocate at the Network and we are excited to see the great work she does in the future. We thank Edline for her hard work and passion in service to our members.

Daniel W. Tietz is now CEO of Bailey House. Mr. Tietz previously served as Chief Special Services Officer for New York City's Human Resources Administration (HRA), since May of 2014. Mr. Tietz succeeds longtime CEO Gina Quattrochi , who passed away in December of 2016.

Davon Russell is now the President of Women’s Housing and Economic Development Corporation (WHEDco), succeeding founding President, Nancy Biberman, who has been named President Emerita, and will serve as Senior Advisor for Housing Development to WHEDco’s Bronx Commons development through its completion in 2019. Mr. Russell previously served as WHEDco's Executive Vice President for the past decade.

George Nashak is now the Executive Director of Care for the Homeless. He was previously the Executive Vice President of HELP USA since 2012. Prior to that time , he spent eight years at NYC Department of Homeless Services, first as Assistant Commissioner for Housing and Program Planning, then as Deputy Commissioner for Adult Services.

Rosalba Messina is BRC’s new Chief Financial Officer, effective November 1, 2017. Ms. Messina's previously served as Vice President for Finance of Women In Need (Win) since 2015, and also as CFO/COO and Acting Executive Director for The LGBT Community Services Center for nearly a decade.

Jennifer Trepinski has been promoted and is now Director of Loan Originations at CSH.

Maureen Friar is now Director, Business Development and Consulting Services for NCheng LLP.
