Have you shared your voice? Survey closes on Oct. 31

Have you completed the SPAAR member communications survey? This is your chance to share your voice, and allow SPAAR to learn what is most meaningful for you in your role. We want to hear from you!

SPAAR is asking members to share their insights about the services offered, opportunities available and interest in receiving member and industry news.

The survey is available through 11:59 pm on October 31. Anyone who takes the survey is eligible to be entered into a drawing for one of two $50 gift cards! 
There's no such thing as a free lunch! Well, there is on November 17 if you start the day as part of the Fifth Annual Dresser Build. As a volunteer, you will work as part of a team to assemble dressers and, in turn, help people in our community as they transition out of homelessness and poverty and into a home of their own. Register today to be a part of this fun and important work! A free lunch for SPAAR members will follow at Grumpy's in Roseville.
Daylight Saving Time ends this weekend

Just a friendly reminder that Daylight Saving Time ends at 2am  on Sunday, November 5, 2017.

2018 membership renewals due November 30
 
SPAAR 2018 membership renewal notices were sent via email on August 18th from [email protected]. If you do not see your renewal notice in your inbox, please check your SPAM and junk folders so you do not miss out on this important information. As a reminder, if payment is not received on or before November 30, a $50 late payment fee will be added to the amount due. To view important 2018 dues billing information, please click here. Seeking nominations for the REALTOR® of the Year and William Tschohl/James Stanton Distinguished Service Award

Nominate a SPAAR REALTOR® member to receive this year's REALTOR® of the Year Award. This person demonstrates dedication to the real estate profession and upholds a professional business reputation.  The William Tschohl/James Stanton Distinguished Service Award recipient will be recognized for their outstanding dedication to the industry.

Apply now for Leadership SPAAR Class of 2018

Leadership SPAAR is a nine-month program designed to identify 8-10 emerging leaders from within SPAAR membership and empower them to maximize their leadership potential and advance their efforts to build successful real estate careers.
 
Leadership SPAAR's objectives include expanding the candidate pool for future SPAAR leadership positions and advancing participants' efforts to build successful real estate careers. These efforts contribute to SPAAR's overarching goal: Fostering Better Agents, Better Communities.
 
Application deadline: Midnight, Sunday, November 26. Email the completed application to Mandy Boldt at [email protected]. The Professionalism Committee will review applications and schedule interviews with finalists. Participants will be notified in mid-December.
Become a SPAAR Hero

Are YOU a SPAAR Hero? Yes, it's OK to nominate yourself! Do you know or work with a SPAAR Hero? If so, we want to know who they are, too!

Each month a SPAAR member will be recognized for his or her community involvement. The recipient will be profiled in E-News and on spaar.com and, in addition, will receive a check for $250 for the nonprofit or cause he or she supports. 
 
SPAAR Hero recognizes members' community engagement. The goal is to shine a light on the many good things REALTORS® are doing in the community. SPAAR Hero is also an opportunity to draw attention to nonprofits that are making a difference by impacting lives.
 
Selection will be made by SPAAR's Community Engagement Committee. Direct any questions or nominations to Joe McKinley .
Nominate someone for the Better Communities Award

We are looking for members who are doing great things in the community for SPAAR's Better Communities Award. The award is given annually and its recipient is honored at the Winter Social. A financial contribution of $1,000 will be awarded to the recipient's charitable organization of choice.

Eligibility criteria: nominees must be REALTORS® or affiliate members in good standing with the Saint Paul Area Association of REALTORS®. Nominee should be a recognized leader in some community endeavor. His or her contributions to a program and/or an organization should result in improving the quality of life in our service area and serve to demonstrate he or she cares about the total well-being of the community. The award is designed to recognize individual contributions, not association or company-wide efforts; however, if an individual within a company is instrumental to the triumph of a group effort, he or she is eligible.

Introducing property-specific information for SPAAR members
 
SPAAR members in early 2018 will be introduced to Remine, a real estate intelligence platform to help REALTORS® identify potential buyers and sellers in a particular community and, ultimately, create more integrated marketing opportunities.

Remine allows REALTORS® to see opportunities in real-time within their RMLS that shows minute details of properties, their owners, the home histories and many more data points in a targeted community.

This interactive REALTOR® feature was designed by agents for agents and is in a testing stage and soft launch before being rolled out to all members as part of the RMLS package. There will not be an additional cost to SPAAR members. More information and tutorial opportunities will be shared closer to the launch date.

2018 Fair Housing poster contest calendars are now available!
 
Calendars are available at any SPAAR office. $10 each. Your purchase helps to support programs coordinated by SPAAR's Diversity Committee.
 
The bright artwork with the theme "Won't you be my neighbor?" was created by area kids as part of an annual poster contest.  
Office brokers will see an update to SupraWEB by year-end

Later this year, the office broker version of SupraWEB will be discontinued and its features will transition to the keyholder version of SupraWEB. 

When the change is made, office brokers will have access to the following features in the keyholder version of SupraWEB:
  • Sending messages to all keyholders in the office
  • Managing ShowingTime integration for the office (if used by association/MLS)
Additionally, some new features have been added to provide office brokers more tools, such as:
  • Listing assignments can be made from the Office Keybox Inventory report
  • Showing duration will be added to the Showing and Key activity report
  • Office reports will be modified to show the listing address in addition to the MLS number, and the office name will be displayed in the assigned column if assigned to an office rather than an individual
More detailed information will be shared closer to the transition.
