Final Rule Shortens Allowable Duration of Short-Term 
Insurance, and Adds Issuer Notice Requirement

The U.S. Departments of Treasury, Labor, and Health and Human Services recently published a final rule that:

1. Restricts the duration of short-term insurance to less than three months

2. Requires issuers to prominently display a new notice in the contracts for such insurance.
