Because of you, we will conserve even more of our favorite places...

,

December 6th marks the deadline for scheduling your year-end donation through Colorado Gives Day. By donating to Eagle Valley Land Trust through this website, you will increase EVLT's portion of the $1 million incentive fund created by the Community First Foundation and FirstBank.

Your contributions have great impact: every $100 will help conserve land the size of a football field!

Important lands will be conserved forever, like our most recent addition - Dewey Park, with over one mile  of Colorado River frontage.

Thanks to your help, along with the EVLT Board, Eagle County Open Space, American Rivers, and the Gates Family Foundation, Dewey Park (in the backdrop of this photo) has been conserved forever.

Together we are all making a difference. Please consider making your year-end donation now at the Colorado Gives Day portal by clicking here or by any means noted below.

Sincerely,

Jim Daus
Executive Director
Dewey Park, one mile of the Colorado River Corridor, preserved forever!

In early November, through collaboration and partnership, we celebrated EVLT's newest conservation easement, Dewey Park. This beautiful 38-acre property with 6,000 feet of Colorado River frontage is the scenic gateway to the Upper Colorado River. Not only visible from the Colorado River Road, it can also be seen from nearby public lands. Wildlife species such as bald eagles, osprey, great blue herons, and songbirds rely on this undeveloped land for habitat.  Although there is not public access to this property, the river flows right through it and the perpetual conservation easement ensures that development will never encroach on this scenic stretch of river.

Thank you, Karl Berger and Coyote River Ranch, for hosting and celebrating the Dewey Park Conservation Easement closing! Jeannie McQueenie, several Eagle County Open Space Committee and Eagle Valley Land Trust Board members and other community partners enjoy the festivities.
