It's November, the month of Thanksgiving and a time to reflect on everything we are thankful for.  As I celebrate the 25th anniversary of American Dance Academy,
I'd like to express my gratitude to the wonderful staff of ADA for their continued desire and effort to help our dancers improve and become the best they can. They are not only teachers but positive role models, mentors and motivators!  I'd also like thank all our current and past ADA students and families because without your support we would not be celebrating this milestone!  Thank you all for your happy energy and I look forward to even more fun years ahead!!

Sincerely,
Darlene Giordano Cummings

Purdie
Purdie Baumann, former Radio City Rockette, comes to ADA to choreograph a piece for our Level 4/5 dancers!!
Purdie Baumann is a proud former Rockette from Radio City Music Hall. Ms. Baumann grew up dancing at her mother and father's dance and tumbling studio in Maywood, IL. She attended high school at the Chicago Academy for the Arts. She then majored in Ballet at the North Carolina school of the Arts. Purdie moved to NYC to study and ended up out at sea dancing on a cruise ship. Miss Baumann fell in love with the bass player on the ship and moved back to NYC with him and became a NYC Rockette. Purdie performs seasonally in the Christmas Show at Radio City as well as sings and dances in musicals regionally. Her favorite shows include: The Christmas Spectacular, Anything Goes, Cabaret, Carousel, Gypsy, Guys and Dolls, Fosse and A Chorus Line. www.christmas.radiocity.com
Miss Purdie was seen as a featured dancer in the "Smurf" movie in 2011 and toured with the National Tour of "Young Frankenstein."
