Bringing Christmas to Those In Need - First Grade Liturgy
merry-xmas-header.jpg
Dear Parents,

On Friday, December 16, 2016 , there will be a Mass at 9:00 AM  for the children of St. Theresa School.  The children from grade one  will do the readings for the Mass.  Grade one students will also re-enact scenes from the Nativity.  They will be dressed as shepherds, angels and the Holy Family.

As in past years, sharing with others will be part of our Christmas Mass.  We are asking each student at St. Theresa to bring a new toy for a needy child to school.  The new toy should be wrapped and tagged with boy/girl and age .  The children will bring the wrapped toys to the altar during the Mass.  Plea se send the toys to school on the day of the Mass.  I hope that many of you will attend the Mass.

Thank you for your help.  Your generosity is

appreciated.

Merry Christmas!
Mrs. Hutvagner

Eighth Grader Receives Distinguished High School Invitation
St. Theresa is proud to recognize one of our eighth graders who scored extremely high on the Diocesan High School Entrance Exam.  For his hard work, he has been invited to apply to the Notre Dame High School Distinguished Scholars Program. This is a four year Honors program for a select number of students. If accepted, he will be eligible for an academic scholarship which would be available all four years. We wish the best of success to him and all of the eighth grade as they prepare for the challenges beyond St. Theresa School.
- Breakfast with Santa -

Our thanks to all of the wonderful volunteers, both parents and students who made this special morning possible! The families and Children had a wonderful time and even met Santa!

Veteran Responds to Middle School Letters of Thanks
- Bob Dole -

Mr. A's Religion classes were thrilled to receive another response from a decorated war veteran. Recently, the middle schoolers received a letter from longtime Senator Bob Dole. Mr. Dole was the Senator of Kansas from 1969-1996, President Gerald Ford's running mate in the 1976 presidential election, and the Republican Party nominee for President in 1996. Mr. Dole was in the United States Army from 1942-1948, and fought in World War II. He earned the Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts for his service to our nation.
