FORE for the FRIENDS
2017 marks the 35th anniversary of the Friends. To celebrate the many years of supporting the Glen Rock Library, the Friends have taken up golf! So ... between the stacks, down the center of the Main Room, a tricky hole in the Children's Room and watch out for the rough in the back Reading Room, golf it will be on March 31st and April 1st next year.
The Great Book Sale crew is happy to play along, as they will NOT be collecting, sorting, stacking and selling books in 2017. That's right, we're taking a break in 2017 - there will NOT be a Great Book Sale.
Mini Golf at 315 Rock gives very young readers the opportunity to play on Friday, March 31st and families can join in the fun on Saturday, April 1st throughout the day. Saturday night will be reserved for adult players, with an extra treat at the 19th hole of a Craft Beer and Wine Tasting presented by Joel Mitchel owner of Beekman' Wine and Liquors.
To make this celebration a success, we need your 'swing.' We believe the library is an important part of our community. It provides educational opportunities and cultural programs, and it offers the latest in technical services to all of its patrons. Support the Friends. Support the Library. Let's continue to make a great Library even better!
