Austrian Holocaust Memorial Ambassador

Meet our new Austrian Holocaust Memorial Ambassador Andre Niederacher. In lieu of military service, Austrian Holocaust Memorial Ambassadors volunteer abroad in Holocaust memorial organizations.  Andre is from Bregenz, Austria, and came to LAMOTH after completing technical school at home. He has always had a deep interest in Holocaust history, which led him to do this work.
LEAS Training at LAMOTH

This week LAMOTH welcomed members of local law enforcement organizations as part of the LEAS program. Started by the Anti-Defamation League and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington DC, LEAS provides law enforcement officials with an examination of the role of police during the Holocaust as well as a discussion about contemporary issues.
B'nai Mitzvah Internship Program

The Remember Us B'nai Mitzvah Project at LAMOTH invites B'nai Mitzvah students to have the meaningful experience of remembering a child who perished in the Holocaust. This fall, LAMOTH will offer a B'nai Mitzvah Internship Program that will provide students the opportunity to explore Holocaust history in depth. Students will engage in inter-generational dialogue with Holocaust Survivors, and continue the Jewish tradition of "Tikkun Olam," healing the world. The B'nai Mitzvah Internship Program's Fall 2016 Orientation will be held at the Museum on Sunday, October 9th. For more information, please contact Jordanna Gessler, Director of Education, at jordanna@lamoth.org or (323) 651-9910.
