The 2016 election highlighted the deep divisions in our culture along the fault lines of race, religion, gender, age, class and sexual orientation. And it intensified the fear that many of us have to speak from our hearts to one-another.
For our Democracy…and our community…to survive, much less flourish, we have to find ways to come together and work together. We have to be able to listen to the truth of others and share our own truth in ways that are respectful, productive and fulfilling.
We can search for this partly through individual reflection but we also need to engage with one another in conversation.
We invite you to join with others in five 2-hour sessions. Each session will provide time for personal reflection and heartfelt sharing. The outline for these sessions comes from the five “Habits of the Heart” in Parker Palmer’s book, Healing the Heart of Democracy.
Suggested donation is $5 per session.
