Greetings!

We hope that this November issue of the Us TOO Hot SHEET newsletter finds you doing well.

Earlier this week on October 24, we were in Inverness, IL, for the  Us TOO Support Group Meeting and Webcast on Chemotherapy  for prostate cancer treatment hosted by the Bill Blair / Russ Gould support group chapter leader Cliff Whall. We’d like to thank Cliff, support group steering committee members Harvey Orlov and Charlie Peterson, everyone who attended in person and online, physician presenter Dr. Daniel H. Shevrin, and event sponsor Sanofi-Genzyme.  Watch the video of the event.

Please join us for the next Us TOO webcast featuring a live online audio/video broadcast of a panel discussion on advancing prostate cancer on Monday, November 6, at 5:45 pm Central Time. This free event is hosted by the Us TOO San Antonio support groups and sponsored by Bayer and Dendreon, along with in-kind sponsorship from Los Padres. It will feature a physician panel discussion moderated by Dr. Juan A. Reyna. See the event flyer  with the full agenda, all of the meeting details, and a link to free registration.

And if you’re planning to be in the New York metro area on Saturday, November 11, please plan to attend the Us TOO Community Conversation on Prostate Cancer in Englewood, NJ .   Check out the digital flyer for more information.

PCRI recently launched the  Prostate Cancer Staging Guide . It provides educational content specific to one of five major prostate cancer categories that correlates to a survivor’s stage.

Prostate cancer patients with advancing disease are invited to participate in a paid survey with a marketing research company. Qualified respondents who complete the 20-minute survey in its entirety will be eligible to receive a check for $50 from the market research company within four weeks. The company will also make a donation to Us TOO.

Interested in volunteering to make a difference in the prostate cancer community through a leadership role with Us TOO International? Consider applying to become a member of the Us TOO Board of Directors. Check out the video to hear from some of the current board members, and access more information including the process for application.

Donations for the 13th Annual SEA Blue Chicago Prostate Cancer Walk & Run will be accepted through October 31 st . We sincerely thank all donors, sponsors, participants and volunteers for their participation and support.

Enjoy the cooler weather, take care, and let us know how we can help you with prostate cancer educational resources and support services.
