Thank You.

As we approach winter break, we want to thank all our PTSO volunteers for their dedication to the WHS community.  We are so fortunate to have such a talented and generous group working to support our students, faculty and staff at WHS.  Thank you!

We also want to take this opportunity to thank everybody who has generously donated to the "Advance the Excellence" campaign.  Your financial support allows us to assist WHS teachers and staff with their professional development and classroom needs.   We couldn't do it without you!

JANUARY 11TH PTSO MEETING AT 7P, IN WHS LIBRARY

Featuring an update on
CHALLENGE SUCCESS

What is Challenge Success?    For now, we'd like it to be a conversation.  How do we (as teachers, students and parents) define academic success? Are we too focused on grades, test scores and academic performance? How do we ensure our young people are developing the necessary skills to become resilient, ethical and motivated learners? The folks at Challenge Success say, "Success is measured over the course of a lifetime, not at the end of a semester."

THE WELL BALANCED STUDENT:
Academic, social and emotional skills kids need
to succeed now and in the future

Tuesday, January 24, 7:00 pm in the WHS Library

It's no secret that students today are more stressed out than ever.  Come hear about Challenge Success, a new initiative in the WHS to address growing concerns about the increasing level of stress and anxiety.  How?  Through teachings in resiliency, better student engagement and broadening the definition of "success."

We are thrilled to have Challenge Success Co-Founder Denise Pope launching the Wellesley's Challenge Success initiative on January 24 at 7p in the WHS Library.  Our partnership with Challenge Success has been made possible through a generous grant from the Wellesley Education Foundation (WEF).
