Mr. Garman looked sadly at his collection of sculptures. Today was April 16th, the day he would sell them to Bob Turner. He picked up his favorite one, the firefighter in which he had name Rover. He looked out into the busy city of Salt Lake City. He looked back at Rover and smiled and turned it over, his name was etched into it, '
Michael Garman'.

The door opened and the loud "jinga-ling" made Mr. Garman leap out of his shoes.

"'Ello Garman. How's it going?" asked Mr. Turner who was wearing his fake, black glasses.

Mr. Garman gave him a dirty look behind his back, which hopefully Mr. Turner didn't see, "Oh it's going good. Are you here to pick up the sculptures?"

Mr. Turner gave Mr. Garman a serious look, "Nah, I'm just here to buy a cat and some fish food. Of course I'm picking up the sculptures!"

Mr. Garman nodded, "Er, right."

Mr. Turner smiled and picked off the paint of the cowboys, "Well, are you sad about losing the business?" A golden capsule shone around his neck.

Mr. Garman looked at him, surprised and a tad bit angry, "No." He lied.

Mr. Turner nodded, "Good, good. Well Garman, I have to say. It was quite a business. Those little sculptures will have a better home with me."

Mr. Garman's face turned red for a second, "You wish." He said under his breath, hoping that Mr. Turner didn't hear him.

"Yes well, I think Jo? Jo? Is that his name? Why not Bob or Turner or something interesting!" Mr. Turner asked, in a rude manner. He had picked off the 'e' off Joe on the cowboy's leg. The capsule around his neck glowed.

"No, um it's Joe. With an e," Mr. Garman said taking the cowboy from him.

"Oh, hey. Why is this guys name Bobby? That's not my nickname," Mr. Turner said, picking up another cowboy.

"Um, that one isn't named after you," Mr. Garman said, tentatively. He quickly reached for Bobby and held him close.

"Oooooh," Mr. Turner's eyes widened as he picked up the best cowboy sculpture.

"That also is very um, fragile," Mr. Garman said, looking away. He was on the brink of getting ready to rage at Mr. Turner. How dare he just touch his sculptures like that!

"Why is his name Tracy? Is it a girl?" Mr. Turner said as he fumbled with it.

"It's a boy. And it's named after my favorite singer, Tracy Chapman," Mr. Garman said, glaring at him.

"Oh, um. Any other sculptures?" Mr. Turner asked.

"No," Mr. Garman lied, not wanting his sculptures to get in any more trouble.

"Okay, well my wife told me to stop by and tell you, we will buy them tomorrow," Mr. Turner said, heading for the door.

"Bye!" Mr. Garman smiled, a fake smile of course.

"Oh and my wife wants you to name someone after her, like that waitress or something," Mr. Turner said and pointed to the pretty white waitress that was handing out food.

"Sure, you can count on me," Mr. Garman said and pushed Mr. Turner out the door and locked it. Mr. Garman let out a loud sigh and looked at Joe's face and frowned.

"Ah, Joe. Well it's time for me to pack up for the night. Stay good," Mr. Garman stood up and placed Joe on the table closest to the waitress. He looked at him again and then went out the back door.

Joe let out a shriek, "God, that man is one insect that I'd LOVE to squish!"

The waitress, who's name was Aubrey shook her head, "Oh Joe, you can't squish a man ten times bigger than you and he's not an insect!"

Joe gave her a dirty look, "Aubrey! FOR THE LAST TIME I'M JUST MAKING A JOKE!"

Aubrey covered her ears, "Stop, you'll wake ol' Rover!"
for exclusive offers!
Joe stomped off, "I'm out, oh could I have a coke?"

Aubrey sighed and went back inside her diner, "Rover, hello."

Rover, the oldest sculpture in the world was the meanest man ever growled at Aubrey, "Oh, hi Aubrey. Was that your boyfriend outside?"

Aubrey gave him a blank stare, "What?"

Rover sighed, "Aub? Are you okay?"

Aubrey feel to the ground with a crash, her eyes glazed over. She froze, her mouth was open as if it was going to say something.

Rover bent down and poked her, "Aubrey!? Oh no, I gotta go get Maria." He stumbled to his feet and ran to the front door. The doctor's office was on the other side of the building. He sighed and sat down, his bones screeched at the sudden pressure.

"Rover? Are you okay?" a young girl, by the name of Caitlyn had asked him.

He looked over at her, "Caitie! Be a dear and go get M-Maria."

"The doctor? Rover are you okay?" Caitlyn put her hand on his shoulder, her long brown hair framed her face. Her blue eyes bright as if it was the first time she had come alive.

"I'm fine," he looked over at the diner's double doors, "but Aubrey's not."

Caitlyn gasped, "She looks dead."

Rover nodded, "I think some of the magic has left us."

Caitlyn burst into tears, "Will that happen to me?"

Rover stood up, "No, no. It'll probably be that annoying cowboy."

Caitlyn wiped the tears off her cheek, "You mean Joe?"

Rover shrugged, "Yeah, whatever you call him. Look kiddo, please go get Maria. Aubrey needs her help."

Caitlyn nodded and rushed off, her red coat disappearing into the crowd of people. He let out a loud whoop and then fell to the ground, his vision blurred and his body froze. '
Is it happening to me too? What did I do? Maybe I'm old. Yeah, that's it. I'm old.' His head knocked on the cold stone concrete. He could hear the faint screaming of the sculptures as they faded, he smiled like he knew something.

Meanwhile Joe was talking to Dr. Maria when a small girl burst into the room. She pulled off her red coat and threw it to the floor.

"Ms. Maria! Aubrey! She needs help! She looks like she's dead," the young girl cried.

Dr. Maria tucked one long strand of chocolate brown hair behind one ear, "One moment Joe. Where is she?"

"This way!" Caitlyn yelled and ran out the door, forgetting her red coat.

"Okay! Lead the way," Dr. Maria said, running after Caitlyn heading for the diner. When they got there, they saw the two bodies of Rover and Aubrey.

"Oh yikes. Rover's gone too!" Caitlyn noted and looked at Dr. Maria for an answer.

"Yeah, yikes it right. Now quickly. Something's gone wrong," Dr. Maria muttered.

Suddenly a shadow loomed in the window of Mr. Garman's shop. It was Mr. Bob Turner.

"RUN!" cried a voice out of the darkness.

People scattered, some pushed Dr. Maria and Caitlyn into some plants. People panicked, they screamed as a loud crash sounded and the window broke into a million pieces.

"Stay low," Dr. Maria said as she held Caitlyn's hand.

Caitlyn nodded as the flashlight from Mr. Turner swept the town of magical sculptures.

"Well, well. What do we have here?" Mr. Turner sneered.

"Hey, big boy over here!" a husky voice cried.

Mr. Turner frowned, "Who's there?"

A man came out of the shadows, his boots shone in the light, "It's Joe. Hi there!"

Dr. Maria froze next to Caitlyn, "He's going to get himself killed!"

Joe turned and ran for the back door, Mr. Turner followed him, "Come back here Joel!"

Caitlyn laughed a nervous laugh, "Hehe he was called Joel! That's a girl's name."

Joe heard the laugh and turned and winked at the place where Caitlyn was hiding, "Woo-hoo!"

Mr. Turner suddenly tripped on a table leg and came crashing to the floor, the small golden capsule around his neck suddenly exploded, golden magical dust flew into the air. Rover suddenly got up, his face was suddenly young and free of wrinkles. Aubrey got up and opened the door to the diner, she looked out.
"Wow, what happened?"

"Aubrey!" Caitlyn screamed happily and leaped into the young lady's arms.

"Hey kiddo," Aubrey grinned and ruffled Caitlyn's head.

Suddenly loud sirens blasted through the room. Mr. Turner groaned and stumbled to his feet.

"Oh d-dog, I'm going to get caught," he started running for the broken window. Luckily Joe was there, he snapped his fingers and Mr. Turner tripped.

"Hehe, gotcha!" Joe clambered onto Mr. Turner's head and let out a shout.

The police arrived 4 minutes later, they took Mr. Turner away. They put him in handcuffs and drove him away. Mr. Garman showed up as soon as he heard the news.

Joe looked up at him, "Oh, hello there, senor Garman."

Mr. Garman let out a whoop, "It worked! It worked!"

Aubrey frowned, "Excuse me sir, what worked?"

Mr. Garman bent down to look at the waitress, "The magic. I gave all of you a bit of my magic." He turned around and frowned at the broken window. Suddenly with a wink of Mr. Garman's fingers the window formed into one piece. He nodded his head and turned back to the crowd of sculptures.

Caitlyn's eyes grew wide, "Are you a wizard?"

Mr. Garman's eyes twinkled, "Maybe. Well I'm so glad it worked!"

Rover let out a laugh, "Well, Garman it's been a pleasure working with you."

Mr. Garman nodded, "You go help another poor soul with their sculptures."

Rover winked and disappeared in a cloud of golden shimmering dust. The cloud subsided and Rover was gone. Everyone's mouth were agape. They turned wide-eyed at Mr. Garman.

"Rover's a wizard too?" Caitlyn laughed and hugged Dr. Maria.

"So, what are we going to do know?" Joe asked. He shuffled his boots as if he were nervous.

Mr. Garman tilted his head, "Show you off to the world one more time?" He put his finger to his cheek and thought for a moment.

Joe nodded, "Hey I know a place. It's in the Rocky Mountains, Colorado Springs?"

Aubrey shrieked, "I've heard of it. Or seen of it on newspapers. A guy just moved out of this super snazzy office, it's bigger than this. Maybe we can go there." She pulled her blonde hair into a ponytail, ready for work.

Mr. Garman smiled, "Yeah. Well I shall go buy it, right?"

Dr. Maria whooped, "Oh yeah! We get to go to COLORADO!" She jumped up in the air, pumping her fists.

Mr. Garman winked, "Oh yes we do!" He laughed a jolly laugh, his nose and cheeks turning a bright cherry red.

Caitlyn smiled, "Can I l ive near Aubrey and Dr. Maria?" She turned and gave them both a hug.

Mr. Garman gave her a thumbs up, "Sure thing. We can place it however everybody wants!" He turned and went to his office to buy the office. He sat down at his computer and started typing away. He sure was going to miss this place, but not for long. With his sculptures by his side he was never going to be lonely. He sat back in his chair, smiling to himself.

3 years later, Mr. Garman smiled at Joe, "I never could've done this without you."

Joe smiled and sat back, "Yeah, I know." He tapped his fingers on Mr. Garman's desk.

Caitlyn smiled, "I'm so glad we live here now. With no Mr. Bob to bother us." She tucked a piece of red hair behind one ear. Her eyes glowed with excitement.

Mr. Garman nodded, "Yup, and we are busier than ever." He smiled over at Aubrey.

"Yeah and we have so many new friends. Like that girl who is always coming over!" Aubrey said happily.

Mr. Garman smiled, "Yes, and we still have a bit of that awesome magic."

Caitlyn nodded, "Yeah, it's kind of fun to do the impossible."

Mr. Garman looked at her, "Walt Disney?"

Caitlyn grinned, "Yup, saw it in an ad!" She laid down and looked at the ceiling of the building. She swung her legs back and forth to an imaginary rhythm.
Mr. Garman winked, "Yeah, it is kind of fun to do the impossible."

He looked at the window. The sun was setting behind the Beautiful Rocky Mountains. The purple mountain majesties were his favorite part of Colorado. Pikes Peak's peak shone in the distance, it's snow-capped top winked at him and then disappeared in the grand shining light of the sun. Mr. Garman laughed and sat back, enjoying Colorado.
