Hello All!

Can you believe that it is already the last month of the year!? Not only that, but only 24 days until Christmas! Wow!

Christmas

Christmas is right around the corner, and while it is common to decorate the tree and the house, our yards are often left out. Not any longer! Stop by our office to view beautiful yard pieces that celebrate the season. They are handmade by a gentleman and his wife right here in Lancaster. All proceeds from the sale go to benefit JRMF.
Below is a sampling of what we offer, although there are additional pieces as well.

Out Of The Past

Hut! Hut! Housework!
Now that the foot ball season is ended the players might keep themselves in training by using the woodsaw and ax and have a nice shovel in reserve for the first snow fall. Such services would be very much appreciated at home.

Typhoid Nary
Gladly we allude to the fact that there has not been a single case of typhoid fever in Lititz or Warwick the past summer or the present fall. This much we could not say for four or five years past, and it entirely explodes the theory heretofore advanced by some that the Evangelical graveyard west of Lititz was the cause of fevers by polluting our drinking water, as there are now more interments in this graveyard than there were at the time so much fever prevailed.

Turkey Theft Latest Warwick Crime
Warwick will soon gain the reputation of being a place for committing thefts. A few years ago a hog was stolen, several times geese disappeared, and on another occasion a bushel of chestnuts got away for the hotel. The last theft was committed on Tuesday night. A twenty-five pound turkey was raffled for on Tuesday evening, and won by Jacob Hertzler, who left it at the hotel locked in a box stall, the stable door also being locked. The thief however, didn't bother with the locks. He hoisted a window, crept in and then crept over the stall and in that way got off with his prize, which probably will never be heard of hereafter.

* All stories are taken word for word out of the Lititz Record Express. They are credited with all research.

We are almost completely owned and operated by family, and here at Sylvan Brandt we believe in that - family and home. We believe in preserving our past - that our past is what shapes our future. We promise to treat you like family and want to work together with you to make your home a history-rich sanctuary.
