Campus Life Center & Gym Update

God has truly blessed CCS with this new building set to be completed by end of '16-'17 school year. Thanks to our Advancing Excellence capital campaign donors and prayer partners for making this building a reality. Click here to donate to this project.

Project status: All block walls near completion; power installed to facility; interior plumbing complete, mid-way through exterior masonry, final roofing to be completed before end-of-year

And Let There Be Lights...

Thanks to the generosity of Warrior Fund donors, lights have been installed on both the baseball and softball fields. This facility upgrade will enable elementary and secondary athletic coaches to schedule additional practices and games throughout the year. From baseball and softball to soccer and football, CCS fields will now be fully utilized - even when daylight savings time has ended.
Alumni
Alumni Baseball Game "Under the Lights" on Jan. 7

Former baseball players, alumni, families and friends are invited to celebrate and reconnect at the 2017 CCS Alumni Baseball Game on Sat., Jan. 7, from 6-9 p.m. This is a great opportunity to celebrate the blessing of the long-awaited goal of "playing baseball under the lights at CCS."  A free dinner will be provided for players, coaches and fans, so don't miss this great fellowship time. Please RSVP so we have enough food and beverages for everyone. Players need to be on the field at 5:30 p.m. as first pitch is at 6 p.m. See you there!
CyChristian Students and Alumni are Everywhere!

You just never know when you will spot current or former CyChristian students. Recently, former CCS football player and alumnus Mark Martinez ('04) snapped this photo of the 2016 football team headed to playoffs in Anderson, TX.

Academic Excellence

Eighth grade American history students recently studied how the U.S. Supreme Court functions. After learning how cases are selected, presented in court, and then decided, students were given a real court case. They came out with a deeper understanding of how our court system works and how it affects Americans today. Some may have even walked away with the desire to be the next generation's successful attorney or Chief Justice of the United States. How exciting to think of a CCS alumnus serving the Lord in such a way.
Biblical Values

Veterans Day is always a very special day on the CCS campus to honor all who have served in the armed forces. Each year, veterans visit classrooms to talk with students about their service, and a school-wide assembly is held. Veterans from all areas of the military were in attendance at this year's event which featured guest speaker Jonathan Sandys (great-grandson of Sir Winston Churchill and co-author of God and Churchill), patriotic music, drama presentations and more. Click here to read more, view photos, and watch the assembly video.
Cultural Impact

K-8 students donated items, wrote letters and packed 147 "Operation Christmas Child" boxes to be delivered to children all around the world. Thanks to students, the National Junior Honor Society and volunteers for making this project a success. Please join us to pray for the children who will receive these gifts. Best Varsity Football Record in School History - 10-2

The Warriors finished out their season with the best record in school history at 10-2 and a trip to the Regional Championship game. They battled hard in the second round of playoffs but came up short 45-41 to Waco Reicher. "The Warriors also placed a large number of players on the All-District team which is is difficult to do in a ten team district," said Coach Spenn. "Thanks to everyone involved in the football program for a successful season on and off the field. Thanks to our drumline and cheerleaders for their support and great Warrior spirit throughout the season." Click here to read article, view stats and the list of All-District players.
