Alliance Leisure are proud to be supporting active-net in 2017 and will be bringing some thought-provoking innovation solutions to our meetings in Nottingham.  Our core business is the provision of facility development and support for leisure operators that want to improve or expand the leisure products and services they offer.  Alliance has 2 core divisions: Facility Development and Client Support.

The Facility Development team have carried out over 100 leisure developments and invested over £100m in the UK leisure market.  Projects range from fitness refurbishments to large-scale multi-activity developments and can include spa, tenpin bowling, high ropes, skateparks, fitness, soft play, climbing, toning, outdoor pitches, swimming, changing facilities and indoor skiing (check out www.allianceleisure.co.uk/Selby ).

The Client Support division work with over 250 leisure sites to provide sales, marketing, customer retention and staff development programmes.  Within this division Alliance Digital provides digital marketing training and products to assist operators with sales, lead generation, customer insight and service excellence (more here www.allianceleisure.co.uk/digital ).

Most recently, Alliance secured a 4-year Framework Agreement with Denbighshire County Council which will be open to all UK authorities and allow them to access Alliance’s services under a pre-procured agreement.

activeNewham have stopped accepting cash payments at their leisure centres.

To improve the member experience and reduce queueing, activeNewham have replaced their cash based reception desks with user-friendly kiosks and contactless payment technology. TRP’s Powerful Net Promoter Score® (NPS®) customer feedback software, Insight NPS, enabled the Trust to identify that waiting in line to enter their facilities was having a significant negative impact on the experience of their members.

“Operators such as ourselves depend on reliable member feedback mechanisms to intelligently inform strategic business decisions. We are already seeing some real tangible outcomes of asking for, analysing and acting upon customer feedback using TRP’s system.”  Keiron Butcher, IT and Communications Director, activeNewham.

Similar stories have recently come out of other Insight NPS clients including Blackburn with Darwen who used customer comments about car parking issues, a factor shown by research to increase the risk of cancellation when experienced frequently and found annoying (TRP 10,000™), to build a business case for council sanctioned public parking restrictions at their city centre location.

As the Insight NPS system and its usage continues to develop and grow, TRP look forward to sharing more great stories of how customer feedback is driving exceptional member experiences for their clients.

Babcock International Group is a FTSE 100 company with an extensive track record of designing workforce development solutions with the customer brand at the forefront for a wide range of customers, including some of the UK’s best known brands. With relationships that span multiple sectors and support both private and public sector businesses, we know that employers are thinking about the changes to the way apprenticeships will be funded from April 2017.

During active-net in 2017, we will be able to discuss with employers on the Apprenticeship Levy as well as inform employers who are non-Levy payers on the impact of the new funding rules and eligibility.

We will also be able to inform and advise employers on apprenticeship recruitment and delivery which can suit their needs and give some examples of previous success within the Leisure sector.

We are looking forward to the event!
