Varadero, covering Cuba's narrow Hicacos Peninsula, is a popular beach resort town. Along its 20km of Atlantic Ocean coastline is a string of all-inclusive hotel and spa complexes and a golf course. Varadero is about a 2.5 hour drive from Havana. It's a bit more modern than Havana.

The Hotel in Veradero is all inclusive of meals and drinks. In Havana we are staying in Cuban homes and breakfast only there is included. The homes there are reportedly nice and more reliable than the hotels. Your money for casas goes to the Cuban people, not the government.

Morning: TRANSFER TO HAVANA check in to lodging
Check into Casa (Cuban home) (this itinerary may be modified due to our arrival time, we may arrive too late for the first tour. For the Havana part we may meet up with a LLGF party of 8 people so you can make new friends!
- Visit the 4 squares of the Historic Center: San Francisco of Asís, Plaza Vieja, Plaza de Armas and Plaza de la Catedral. (depending on our arrival time we may do this one or not)
- Lunch at Local Restaurant.
- Visit the Havana Club Rum Museum.
- Visit The "Callejon de Hamel."
- Visit Plaza of the Revolution.
- 5:00 PM Return to the Hotel.
- 6:30 PM Dinner in a local paladar. (lunch and dinner in Havana on your own expense)
Tuesday, Jan 17th, 2017 HAVANA
- Breakfast and leaving the hotel by 9:00 AM. Breakfast included
- Visit Ernest Hemingway's house in Finca Vigia
- Visit Christopher Columbus Cemetery and the Revolution Square
- Lunch in a local paladar

- Departure to José Martí International Airport and return.
You need a passport. If it is near expiration (within 6 months) we suggest you renew it as you will have to do it anyway. Cuba is considered relatively safe due to the high presence of police and security.
