Connect With Pacifica This Week
Greetings!

In our increasingly technology-driven and connected society, this week I’d like to bring your attention to two technological tools that could be useful to you to ease the daily commute and to keep informed of and stay prepared for emergencies. The first tool is the Scoop app , which helps to connect commuters for carpooling, offers incentives up to $4 a day for carpooling, with the added benefit of easing the daily commute and decreasing our carbon footprint. The second tool is the SMC Alert system, which is the primary means of communication used by San Mateo County Office of Emergency Services (OES) to reach the community by cell phone, email and text alert for critical incidents to keep us prepared and informed in case of emergency. Check out www.SMCAlert.info to learn more or to sign up for these important alerts. Find more information about these tools in the City News section below.

Please let me know if you have comments or questions, and  thank you  for wanting to  Connect with Pacifica !

Sincerely,
KEVIN WOODHOUSE
City Manager
