Importance of outdoor play in preschool

Outdoor play has so many benefits for young children!  Coordination, muscle development, self-confidence & problem solving skills are among a few of the benefits of outdoor play.  Playing outside often allows children to develop creative ways to interact with the world.  A simple stick and dirt can inspire an artist, cook, writer, architect, archaeologist and scientist.  Outdoor play is sometimes limited for today's children due to our busy schedules, crime and technology driven toys.
