A Message from Pastor Grant Applehans
"...For just as the body is one and has many
members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ...If one member suffers, all suffer together with it; if one member is honored, all rejoice together with it..."
- 1st Corinthians 12:12,26

Greetings  Ken Applehans; Matt and Abby Clay (Olivia, Adalynn, and Alaina); Brent and Stephanie Eidenschinks (Tatten & Dekker); Wendy Hazzard; Leah and Matthew Zustiak (Bennett); Teri and Jeff Caruso (Mark); and Adam Tilly.

Today we officially welcome our new members into the body of Christ in this place!
We, as a community of faith, strive to share Christ's love with joy, building relationships with one another and with our neighbors that reflect His light in our lives.  Join me this Sunday, REFORMATION DAY, in welcoming our newest members.

See you there!

You're Invited!
November 19th - GENEROSITY SUNDAY will be a wonderful morning at St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Loaves and Fishes want you to know that YOU are invited!

We will have a single service at 9:00 with Brunch.

At this service we will be returning our 2018 pledge cards, responding to our 4th Quarter Generosity Sunday and hearing special music from the Fall Choir that reminds of us to give thanks always.

In a world that is being turned upside down by wildfires, hurricanes and floods, we have a special calling to remember to be grateful for safety.   It is our turn to respond with generosity while others are unable.   We have been flexing our generosity muscles all year.   I wonder, was God preparing us so that we would be ready to step forward to help those who are suffering?

We are a necessary part of God's divine plan for this world.  Together, we will celebrate the joy of being His hands and feet with a brunch hosted by the Loaves and Fishes team following worship.   We will look back on all we have accomplished this year and give thanks for God's leading and the Holy Spirit's help in responding.

Please note: this is a hosted event.   No need to bring a dish to share, just bring your appetites!

Finally, following brunch will be the Greening of the Sanctuary.    Please stay for fun and fellowship as we prepare the sanctuary for the birth of our Lord.

See you there!
Dee Wilkinson welcomes families as they arrive for the food truck.
Making a Difference
At the October Family Pathways Food Truck, we provided food for 40 people.   Those 40 people left with 1,415 pounds of food, 272 pounds directly from St. Paul Lutheran.

There were 14 volunteers from St. Paul Lutheran to help this morning go smoothly.   Wow!  We are making a difference in our community!

With the holidays approaching we know that the number of clients and food will increase dramatically.  Please prayerfully consider how you can be part of this ministry.

If you are wondering what you should donate :   Every month, the Food Truck could use: juice, canned meats, canned peaches, eggs, coffee/filters, tea and beverages.  In November, we like to donate toilet paper and tissues, and Thanksgiving fixings: stuffing, potatoes, sweet potatoes, cranberries.

If you are wondering about how to volunteer Sign-up sheets are in the Narthex.  Volunteers should plan to arrive by 8 a.m.   The Food Truck closes at 11 and the volunteers help get the remaining food back into the truck.   During the morning, volunteers work with the clients to pick out food and get it out to their vehicles.    If you have any questions, please talk to Jan Taylor or any of the regular volunteers.   They love this ministry of our church and are eager to have others join them.

DO YOU HAVE YOUR SPL NAME TAG?
Hello everyone:

The church office has been asked to do a thorough inventory of name tags for ALL MEMBER FAMILIES (pre-K through adult).

If you do not have a name tag, please email Wendy next week with all the names you need printed for your family.

Thanks so much for your help with this important project!
