MLS-Touch, our mobile MLS app, released a significant update this week. The new version is faster and more visually pleasing. Perhaps, the most productive new feature is the "Facebook Publishing Tool" which allows you to automatically post your new listings to your Facebook business page. It will even post price and status updates for you. Set up this feature once and let MLS-Touch handle the work in the background. Get the update at the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. If you are not using MLS-Touch, I encourage you to install it and give it a try. Getting started is easy - download the app and log-in with your MLS credentials.
Have you received the NAR messages about dental insurance? Before working as your AE, I used a dental plan offered through NAR. This is a very good deal. The NAR Realtor® Benefits program offers some good discounts on products and services; worth a look.
Political advocacy is one of the VBR's core services. We monitor what the local governments in Eagle County are planning. Recently we spoke out against a proposal to impose a Transportation Impact Fee on development in the town of Vail. This initiative is moving forward and will, in all likelihood, be adopted, but we made our thoughts known. Yet to be seen, but we probably influenced the amount of the fees in an effort to protect property owner rights and your livelihood. If you hear of something going on in your town, that may impact your way of earning a living or property owner rights, please let us know. There is always a chance you may hear about issues before us.

And it's competitive with normal roofs.
On Wednesday, Tesla opened up orders for its long-anticipated solar roof. On average, the Tesla solar roof price $21.85 per square foot, which is less than the cost of a normal roof, even without the energy savings.

The Voice for Real Estate
NAR is working with other groups to fight against efforts to roll back net neutrality rules to help maintain an even playing field for all real estate content online. The video also looks at a win for agents now that the CFPB has made clear lenders can make the closing disclosure available to agents without violating federal privacy rules. Housing finance reform, home staging, and brokerage succession planning are also covered.
