Our story needs to be heard!
We hear a lot from the big corporate grocery retailers about local and organic; things that we at the Co-op have been doing for 45 years.
Over the next year the Syracuse Real Food Co-op will be sharing the overall Co-op Story, the Syracuse Real Food Co-op story and your story as owners with the general public. We'll do this via word of mouth, retelling the story in the media and sharing this email and future emails with our members and shoppers.
Any help you can give us telling "our story" will be greatly appreciated.
A NEW BOOK ON FOOD CO-OPS WANTS YOUR SUPPORT
The Syracuse Real Food Co-op is excited to share the news of an important effort to support the future of community-owned grocery stores. An established food journalist is ready to begin work on a book that will tell the story of retail food co-ops and their importance to people, communities and the planet. The book will be the first of its kind and will be titled Grocery Story: The Promise of Food Co-ops in the Age of Grocery Giants.
