Education and Ministry Highlights
It's the third Thurrsday - Tonight is VCH volunteer time at HIM Food Pantry
At some food pantries, clients are handed a bag of food. Sometimes there is a lot that they don't like and so won't use. HIM is a client choice pantry. Clients push a grocery cart, and volunteers assist them as they choose what they like and will actually use. Small Groups can serve together or families with kids can serve together.

Child Dedication Class on Saturday, August 5th
If you have not yet taken our Child Dedication Class, it is being held on Saturday, August 5th from 10am-11:30am. This class is a requirement for anyone dedicating their child at our church for the first time. Please sign up for the class here.
Mission Trip to El Salvador
with Living Water International
The Houston Vineyard is putting together a missions team to return to El Salvador and dig another well with Living Water International (LWI). This trip is about more than digging wells. It's about building relationships with people in the villages in order to share the love of Jesus Christ in a practical way that will impact them for generations.
Currently we have space on our LWI team. Those interested will need to complete an application to aid us in the selection process. Applicants must be 18 or older (or 14 if a parent/guardian is on the trip). For more information, contact

Backpack Blessing, August 20
Students, teachers, and administrators of all ages are welcome to bring their backpacks this Sunday. We bless backpacks as a visual reminder that we take Jesus with us wherever we go.
Baptisms on Sunday, August 27
At VCH, baptism is a church-wide celebration of the redeeming work of God in the lives of men, women and children. The children's baptism class is August 13th or 20th during kid's church. Adult baptism class is on Tuesday, August 22 at 7pm. Register on the calendar, with the connecting card or contact David Gausepohl.
Alpha Training
