Tama Matsuoka Wong
harvests delicious ingredients found in the wild for some of Manhattan's hottest chefs like
Eddy Leroux, Daniel Bouloud
and
Mario Batali.
On January 20th, Tama's program at JHC drew an enthusiastic audience of diverse people with the same shared interest in treating their palates to foods that are healthier and higher in nutrients but above all tasty - including invasive species. Everyone was receptive to Tama's message that "Simplicity and whole foods are the new luxury: plucked from the earth, shared with friends."
Tama Matsuoka Wong returns to the Jay Estate in honor of Earth Month for a
FREE Garlic Mustard Pull Party and Book Signing. First volunteers will learn how to identify invasive garlic mustard in the field and help harvest it. Next learn how this invasive can be made into a delicious pesto sauce for pasta and savor the results. Hear about Tama's latest book collaboration with Chef Mads Resflund.
