Dear MLEPC Members and Friends,

What a joy it has been to serve with you all at Mission:Possible! I have been amazed at all the people giving of their time and talents to serve our community. Together we have definitely touched lives.

I have spent several mornings with the prayer team, and I wish each of you could experience the power of God in that room. We are blessed beyond measure to have Pastors Hudson and Job with us this week. James 5:16 says, "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (KJV). When faithful, righteous people like Hudson and Job start to pray, those prayers can move mountains.

The Coffee on the Wing group, those amazing morning people, have been gathering prayer requests for us each day. At the beginning of the week, people seemed reluctant to tell them their requests. By Wednesday, we had well over a hundred requests - and more came in Wednesday night through the concert. Many of those prayers are for people with cancer, for broken families, and for people grieving lost loved ones. Please be praying for these and all the needs we have learned of this week.

There are so many people to thank, I am afraid of missing you all. Thank you to Pastor Linda and the tireless kitchen crew for joyfully preparing meal after meal for the hungry crew. Thank you to Cindy, Pat, and the entire choir and orchestra for the exceptional concert last night and at each nursing facility you visited. Thank you for the children who have gone out to serve cookies and invite people to our events. Thank you to Brant and the youth who have hauled gravel and scraped paint and helped rebuild the Kingdom of God. Thank you for all who have donated items for Off the Floor, the food pantry, backpacks, and the sewing projects, as well as those of you who donated blood. Thank you for the prison outreach who shared spiritual freedom with those recently released from jail. Thank you for those doing intentional acts of kindness--you have surprised and blessed many people along the way. Thank you to Pastor Steve, the musicians, Ashley, and everyone who will be involved in Summerfest Thursday night (6-9 pm), who have worked hard to prepare all the details, and for those of you who are willing to share the good news of Jesus Christ with our neighbors. And especially, thank you to Heather Casturo and for all the leaders who have put in more hours than we can count to make this Mission:Possible come together! God is good, and he is the one who makes all things possible!

We hope you will join us this Sunday as we celebrate the Lord's work in our community this week. We will have one unified service at 9 am, filled with testimonies, stories, and praise to the One who is at work within us. After the service, we will have a celebration reception in the Fellowship Hall, and we can share more stories of what Gad has done.

In 1 John 4:19, the Word of God reminds us, "We love because He loved us first." It is because we have been blessed by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ that we are able to share love and grace to our neighbors.

May God continue to pour out His Spirit into our hearts, so that we may bless others not just once a year, but every day of our lives!

Blessings,
Pastor Carolyn
