The Korean War began on June 25, 1950, and the active fighting ended on July 27, 1953, with the signing of the Korea Armistice Agreement. Approximately 7,000 Canadians continued to serve in tense operations between the signing of the Armistice and the end of 1955.
Each year a memorial is held on the last Sunday in July to remember those who lost their lives and to honour the bravery of our Canadian soldiers.
Join us Sunday, July 30 at 10:55 a.m. at the Town Hall War Memorial, as we honour and remember our Canadian heroes who served in the Korean War. If you would like to lay a wreath during the ceremony please call 782-6290, or
email.
