The First Part - Fun Welcome Party on Friday!
Kick it off and meet the captains and other ladies on Friday with the Harbor Financial Services meet-and-greet social featuring networking, fundraisers and an incredible Master Chef Potluck Appetizer Contest. Join the fun and preview the auction!
Crazy about fishing? We have a bonus fishing day on Friday so you can fish and then meet us at the party!
Then onto learning on Saturday...
Saturday's events begin with classroom presentations on offshore, bottom, inshore and fly fishing, followed by lunch and hands-on fishing skills until approx. 4 pm. We will have some amazing speakers including Captain Lee Lavery/Fishing Basics, legendary Stu Apte/Fly Fishing, accomplished Allison Stattner/Offshore and Inshore TBA.
Hands on skill practice includes releasing, conservation, dehooking, knot tying, bait rigging, spin and net casting, gaffing grapefruits, trailer backing, stand-up fish fighting techniques and more.
We are looking for some general volunteers and a few extra skill station people so contact us asap if interested.
Events conclude with a silent auction, followed by a networking party with food and fun hosted by the Seaside Glass Works, Islamorada, FL.
Sunday Fishing!
On Sunday, participants embark on a Fishing Adventure out of Whale Harbor, Islamorada, FL followed by a fish fillet demonstration. Inshore or offshore. Target sailfish, tuna, yellowtail, dolphin, grouper, mutton snapper, kingfish, trout, redfish, mangrove snapper, shark release and more. Or, party boat fishing. Bonus Fishing Day is Friday.
