Summer Reading

Mr. Garrick is at it again! Where is he reading the summer articles this week? At the beginning of the school year, you can submit all the locations he has been this summer, and those with the correct answers will be entered into a prize drawing. Note: Photos below are all taken at the same location; look closely for clues!

All students are required to read these articles by the first day of school.

Stallion in the Spotlight

This summer SFD sophomore Carly Fuchs has been volunteering at Nationwide Children's Hospital Buddy Camp, helping children on the Autism Spectrum. She helps plan for crafts, assists at snack time and interacts one on one with the children. Last week marked her 5th and final week of this very rewarding experience. She hopes to become a counselor in the future, and this training is a great start to reaching her goal.

Daily Reflection

Lord Jesus, You said to your apostles, "Peace be with you." For nations and people in conflict, we pray that resolution be sought through Your love that knows no bounds. For families knocked down by hardship, we pray for rebuilding with You as the cornerstone. Lord Jesus, may our prayers and interactions lead to the peace that is Your gift. Amen.
