In total, 60 wayfinding signs will be placed at 31 locations along the Connective Corridor, providing directions to downtown destinations. Signs consist of one or two panels mounted on a single post. Lincoln Commemorative Marker Restored to Glory
TNT funding paved the way

The next time you're walking by the intersection of Washington and Salina Streets, we hope you'll take a moment to reflect on the history that happened there. The "Lincoln in Syracuse" commemorative marker "marks the spot" where President Abraham Lincoln spoke to a crowd of 10,000 in February, 1861 when his train stopped at Vanderbilt Depot. He was the President-Elect at the time. Four years later, 3,000 people paid their respects when Lincoln's funeral train pulled into the Vanderbilt Depot on April 26, 1865.

Last year, a passerby notified the Onondaga Historical Association that the marker had been vandalized. The Downtown Committee worked with Tomorrow's Neighborhoods Today (TNT - Downtown) to restore the marker to its glory, so that the marker could continue to educate Syracuse visitors about the presidential visit.
