Come See the Final Designs for Hopi Elementary

Hopi Elementary School is excited to share final designs for its new school buildings at a community meeting on September 27. Thank you to everyone who came to the last community meeting to ask questions and give feedback. The Hopi Rebuild Committee, made up of parents, teachers and neighbors, has spent the last five months working with architects and district leadership on both interior and exterior designs. Come see the results of that collaboration and learn about the next phase of construction.

WEEKLY PROGRESS

On Friday, September 1, we celebrated the grand opening of our new football fields at Saguaro and Coronado. These are the first major construction projects to be completed under the bond override approved by voters in 2016. THANK YOU!

On Wednesday, September 6, Cheyenne broke ground on its new gymnasium and science labs. Students, their principal, PTO leaders, SUSD Governing Board members and district officials all helped turn the first dirt. Construction is on track for 8th graders to graduate in their new gym next spring.

On Thursday, September 7, the Governing Board reviewed architectural plans for the Pima rebuild, including exterior designs, construction phase plans and the floor plan for the new classroom building. You can find all of these images under the Pima section of bond.susd.org.

Also this week, architects unveiled the final exterior designs for Hopi, based on extensive feedback from the Hopi Rebuild Committee. You can view those designs in the Hopi section of  bond.susd.org  or at the community meeting on September 27.
