I realize it's been far too long since I reached out to all of you. Would you believe that Spector Photography starts its
12 year in 2017 and what's more... some of you have been with us from the very beginning!
For that I am immensely grateful and a little proud that you've believed in and trusted me with the most precious thing in your life, your kids, for all this time. I want to thank you for allowing me to watch your children grow and for letting me help you document that amazing change!
Looking back over the decade of families I've had the pleasure to work with I feel like I've been blessed with a trip around the world. I have families from all over the globe come to the studio. I have worked with families from India, Thailand, Haiti, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Spain, Italy, France, Israel, Canada, Mexico, China, Japan, Korea, Egypt, Russia and England just to name a few counties.
So many walks of life, religions, languages, cultural practices and beliefs have been respected and often talked about in the studio. If there is one thing that has stuck with me and given me something to believe in and hold close is how evident it is that the love we feel for our children and our families is not owned by any one ideology or faith or nationality. We are one and the same in this regard and I am thankful every day that I am able to spend my days and weeks and years witness to the good and the love in ALL people no matter where they come from or what their beliefs are.
For those of you who know me you'll probably notice no holiday card this year. It is something I LOVE creating with Teagan, my daughter, and a tradition which we've been doing since she was 8 months old - she's now 11. I also love getting the wonderful feedback from you all. This year, however, with everything going on in the country and world I made the decision to forgo the card and instead send a donation to the ACLU as a way to reach out and give back to our community and speak up for the rights of all those who need help.
And so I wish you all the most wonderful holiday season and hope that what ever form of celebration and observance you participate in that you will continue to spread the love I witness from each of you all year long to help make the world a better and more tolerant place.
I look forward to sharing and making memories with you all in 2017!!
