Dear Parents and Guardians,

Please see announcements below for this week.

Kudos to our band who shared their musical talents today with the Dons community at the USF Spirit Walk. Listen Here!

A special Congratulations to Parth Solanki '20, representing the House of Pilar, who was victorious in the finals of Riordan's Rouchambeau House competition. View recaps from this fun event in a rebroadcast from Tuesday's telecast (the competition starts around 12:00).

Parent Pledge

T hank you to our parents who are participating in the Parent Pledge Program. For those of you that have not signed up yet, we ask that you consider making a pledge as soon as possible as we are on pace to hit our goal.

This program provides critical support, as parent gifts help pay for all of the things that tuition does not, such as campus improvements (gym renovation, campus painting, and the creation of our Makerspace and Auto Shop programs), new academic offerings, tuition assistance, and new equipment.

In 2016-17, we received pledges as low as $50 and as high as $50,000 over four years. We hope that all parents will consider a pledge that falls somewhere in between. Our goal is for each family to average $12,000 over four years. Some will do less and some will do more--what counts is that all families participate at a level that feels right and is within their means. Those who choose to pledge $10,000 or more over four years will be invited to our Annual President's Dinner in the fall.

If you are interested in making a pledge, please click here to download a pledge form, or you can register online at  www.riordangiving.com. Please click "Parent Pledge" in the drop down menu at the top, and select "Pledge (Installments)" in the area that says "Type of gift." This will guarantee that the pledge goes to the right place.

Your support of this program is much appreciated and we can assure you that the work we are doing now will make your son's eventual Riordan Diploma more valuable over time.

Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact Anne Seppi, Director of Annual Giving at  (415) 586-8200 ext. 217 or  [email protected]

Athletics

Football Win and New School Record
Senior quarterback Travis Benham passed for 410 yards and five touchdowns, setting the single-game school record in the former category and tying the school record in the latter category, as the Archbishop Riordan varsity football team rolled to a 42-7 non-league victory over Salesian at Terra Nova.

Benham's record night was highlighted by a 96-yard touchdown pass to sophomore receiver Je'Lani Clark, the second-longest play in program history and an 87-yard connection with senior receiver Max Mezie, good for fourth-best on that same list.

Benham broke the passing yardage record previously held by his offensive coordinator, Darius Bell '08. Bell set the previous record when he threw for 367 yards in a Central Coast Section playoff game against Terra Nova in 2007. Read More
