ELECTRICAL SAFETY
The marina supplies 30 amp power to each standard slip. If your boat does not have a 30 amp receptacle and must be stepped down into a 15 amp cord; you must use only an approved Marinco adapter and cord. You must notify the office, as the 30 amp breaker in the panel must be reduced to 15 amp.
Thank you for your cooperation.
INLET MARINE - WINTERIZING YOUR BOAT
Winter season is coming and its time to think about preparing your boat for the cold.   There are many options for preventing freeze damage to your vessel and you need to consider all the systems equipped, as well as your planned usage during the cold weather.  Placing heaters in your bilge to prevent the engines cooling system from freezing is the easiest method, however ensure that if your boat is a gasoline powered vessel that you use ignition protected heaters.  Draining the water from the engines is more reliable in the event of a power outage, but this would need to be done every time the engines are run.

The domestic water side of your boat should be fully drained of water, then run RV antifreeze through if you do not intend to use it, or ensure that all lines and fixtures are protected by heat if you are continuing use.  Additional systems you want to consider are air conditioning, shower sumps, head systems, anchor/deck washdowns, windshield washers, and any other system that may contain water.

The interior of your boat will be protected from mold and mildew by having heat and air movement, or by using moisture absorbing pellets.  Don't forget to get that last deck wash in before water is shut off on the docks.

Finally, please reference your insurance policy for your coverage on damage due to freezing, as this may influence how you decide to protect your vessel.   Check in at Inlet Marine for your winterizing supplies, advice and services.

Thanks,
The Inlet Marine Team
