Message from the Executive Director...

Greetings,
At this time of year, many sentiments come to mind, however, I believe the most important one is "giving thanks." Whether you are on the side of "giving" or on the side of saying "thanks," this act represents the sharing of a common goal by two parties. During this season of giving, we at Wilton Library are particularly thankful to our loyal friends with whom we share the goal of sustaining our library, and we also thank new friends who will help us in this endeavor.

During this weekend's Holiday Stroll, we hope you will stop by and enjoy some of the delicious treats we have prepared -- it's a small token of our appreciation for your support. While here, I hope you will also look at our Giving Tree, stop by the Holiday Book Sale with numerous reasonably priced items; enjoy our current Art Show offering unique gifting opportunities; and do pick up a copy of our latest Annual Report to see what your donations have made possible -- I am sure you will be gratified. We also welcome your donations both small and large via our Annual Friends Appeal which is currently in progress.

Of course, our fundraising efforts must continue year round because these funds are essential in enabling us to purchase the books, magazines, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs, and other resources that you use. Additionally, your gifts support the wide variety of programs we offer.

So, on behalf of the staff and trustees of the library, many "thanks" in advance for your generous "giving."  We extend our warmest wishes to you and yours during the upcoming season and throughout the year.
