"Wide Open"
Sunday, September 17th, 2017
11am, Rev. Anne Tabor

Wide Open ...  Inspired by Kit Holmes' song "Wide Open," join Rev. Anne for the 3rd in her four-part message series, Living The Heart Of Unity, as she delves into what it really means to be wide open. Do you want happiness, a healthy body, prosperity and harmonious relationships? If you want to change your life, it begins with shifting your thoughts about the challenges you are experiencing. Our tangles can be our greatest teachers! But as long as we think in limited ways--we limit God--and our results. Come find out how to be Wide Open for God!

A Note About Hurricane Harvey from Rev. Anne Tabor

Our hearts and our prayers are with all those affected by Hurricane Harvey in Houston and Southeast Texas. Please join us in affirming this prayer from Rev. Howard Caesar at Unity of Houston:

"As we collectively face the challenges that Harvey has brought, may your prayers unite with ours and all others:

United as One, the forces of Light, Love, Strength, and Overcoming shall prevail in me, in you, and in all. The Spirit in us all shall rise above any and all circumstances and conditions, knowing that this too shall pass and greater is He that is within me than that which we face in this world.  We pray that the rains depart, the waters recede, and our lives be re stored. We give thanks for the help we receive and give to each other, manifesting in its many forms. And the peace and the power of God shall sustain us all. Amen."

At this time, the best way to support our brothers and sisters, and animals, that have been touched by the storm and flooding, is to donate to professional organizations that are already on the ground and in place to give aide. Click on the link below to help with your donation:

Thank You!

Reverend Anne Tabor, M.Div., is available by appointment for spiritual counseling sessions at Unity of Arlington in a safe and supportive environment. As an ordained Unity minister, Rev. Anne, offers spiritual counseling to individuals seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and their divine power within to solve life's challenges. Spiritual counseling can help if there is a need for inspiration, crisis support, or healing in any area of your life.  Prayer and meditation are an integral part of Unity's spiritual principles, and an essential practice in realizing the answers we seek.  We believe in the transformative power of affirmative prayer. You are a unique expression of God.  Spiritual counseling will remind you of that!

Spiritual counseling is offered on a love offering basis. While no specific fee is expected or suggested, we do invite each person to leave a love offering.  For more details, please call the church office 817-467-5151.

UNITY'S FIVE BASIC PRINCIPLES

Principle #1:
There is only one Presence and one Power in the Universe and in my life, God the Good.

Principle #2:
Human beings have a spark of divinity within them, the Christ spirit within.  Their essence is of God, and therefore they are also inherently good.

Principle #3:
Human beings create their experiences by the activity of their thinking.  Everything in the manifest realm has its beginning in thought.

Principle #4:
Prayer is creative thinking that heightens the connection with God Mind and therefore brings forth wisdom, healing, prosperity, and everything good.

Principle #5:
Knowing and understanding the laws of life, also called Truth, are not enough.  A person must live the truth he or she knows.

CORE VALUES

LOVE:
As expressions of Spirit, we embrace and reflect the Divine in all. Love is the nature of who we are.

IN-SPIRITED:
We live from a conscious connection with Spirit. We affirm there is only one presence and one power, and we are expressions of it.

INCLUSIVE:
We lovingly embrace all people. We are One Loving Spirit.

SERVICE:
We actively meet the needs of our community. We are expressions of Christ Consciousness.

INTEGRITY:
We consciously choose to practice transparency and authenticity in living our Core Values and Unity Principles. Spiritual integrity is seeking true alignment with our highest intentions, core values, and principles.
