Aicholtz Road Is OPEN to Through Traffic
After two construction seasons of work to reestablish a vital link in our local roadway network, we are pleased to report that all of the active closures on Aicholtz Road and in the surrounding area have been reopened. This completed project reconnects Mt. Carmel Tobasco Road to Eastgate Boulevard and can help reduce some traffic on State Route 32 as drivers adjust to the new traffic pattern.

  • Aicholtz was widened - there are now two travel lanes west of I-275 to Mt. Carmel Tobasco Road, where the alignment was improved, and three lanes from I-275 to Eastgate Boulevard
  • A new center turn lane is helping to ease congestion
  • A new sidewalk on the south side of the street supports pedestrian access throughout this corridor and has improved connectivity to the Ivy Pointe area.
