On Friday, Nov. 18, the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Juan N. Franco and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Character Council awarded 30 students with the Franco’s List distinction. At the same event, the Center for Civic Engagement announced the winners for the Give Back. Big. awards, which provide two $1,000 grants to help students change the world around them. View recipients>>

“Consistency is key to how we communicate with others,” said Vicki Highstreet, associate director for recreation programming at Campus Recreation. On Tuesday, Nov. 15, Highstreet led a group of Student Affairs staff through an exercise on Establishing Effective Communication in the Workplace. This seminar was part of the Student Affairs Staff Council’s professional development series.  Read more>>
The University Health Center held Open Enrollment Open House sessions for students on Monday, Nov. 14 and Tuesday, Nov. 15. The sessions informed attendees about the different types of health insurance available to students.  Read more>>

In spring 2017, a new resource will open in the Nebraska Union to help address food and shelter insecurities among Nebraska students. Help us get ready!
