The Urban League of Louisiana is currently accepting applications for our  ULEAD Education Academy .  


The ULEAD Education Academy is a foremost training academy for African Americans and other minorities interested in learning how to effectively navigate the educational landscape in New Orleans.

ULEAD Education will provide a unique opportunity for participants to learn how to engage in developing and sustaining a quality educational ecosystem in New Orleans through:
  • Advocacy
  • Human Capital
  • Governance
  • Policy
  • Entrepreneurship

 

If you are an African American or other minority and aspire to be a leader in education, ULEAD Education is for you!
ENGAGEMENT AND INVOLVEMENT
 
ULEAD Education will engage participants by allowing them to hear from and interact with prominent individuals in the education field.

Speakers from many different facets of the education system will inform, teach and communicate with participants regarding their particular field(s) of expertise.

Participants will also commit to individualized project plans that demonstrate their active involvement in the educational arena.
THE TARGET AUDIENCE
 
ULEAD Education is targeting 25 African American and other minority professionals who are interested in attaining a mastery level of knowledge regarding the New Orleans education system. 

Participants should be:
  • Motivated to work diligently to promote positive change education as well as community
  • Committed to attending nine program sessions
