EMS ISD participated in the Saginaw Chamber of Commerce's Taste of Northwest Business Expo on October 19 at the Saginaw Recreation Center. The Culinary Arts class from the Hollenstein competed against local restaurants and caterers and placed first in the People's Choice Restaurant category.
In addition, Boswell chemistry won first place for their
slime-making skills in the Judge's Choice Best Booth category. Other EMS groups included robotics, graphic arts, animation, Saginaw theatre, Saginaw yearbook, and Chisholm Trail Spanish students.
Performance groups included the Boswell Jazz Band, Chisholm Trail Ranger Vocal Band, and the Saginaw Starsteppers. Chisholm Trail NHS and AVID students, along with Boswell NHS students and Jazz Band members, volunteered and helped the Chamber keep the event clean with trash and spills duty.
