It's the holiday season! I don't know about you, but 2016 cannot end soon enough. It's been a rough year.

That said, there have been some personal high points. My new novel When the Sea Turned to Silver has had a lovely, warm reception into the world--even becoming a National Book Award Finalist (which gave me the opportunity to wear a sparkly dress and walk the red carpet).

But I know that so much of the book's success is due to you--my loyal readers who even read my newsletter. So, I hope the below holiday promotion is something useful and welcome to you!

Holiday Bookplate Promotion

I am always honored when people share my books.  If you plan to give any of my books this holiday season, I would love to help make them even more special!  You can have a personalized, autographed bookplate which you can stick right in the cover of the book!

Send an e-mail with the subject BOOKPLATE to [email protected]  with the following information:

1. To WHOM the book is for (so I can personalize it)
2.  Your name and address (so I can mail it to you)
3. Optional: What book title you are giving (I draw different doodles for each title--if you tell me the book title, it will be even more personalized)

And I will mail the bookplate out to you! This way, you can purchase my books  at your convenience and still have it autographed by me! Hope it helps make some young readers happy!

RANDOM BONUS!
I have about 25 goodies left over from my book party! It's a haphazard assortment--embroidered booksmarks, stickers, even an extra Story booklet.  To make someone's holiday gift even more extra-special, I'll include these with some of the bookplates! I'll choose the recipients completely randomly, so cross your fingers when you receive your envelope!

Nuts & Bolts:
-You can request as many bookplates as you like. If you plan to gift 10 of my books, I'm happy to send you 10 bookplates--or even more if you need!
-You have until midnight on Dec. 12th  to send your e-mail with the info. All bookplates will be mailed out on the 13th.
-US only, sorry international readers!
