AROUND THE VILLA

November Birthday Bash
We would like to thank Mayor Stan Koci, Councilwoman Marilyn Zolata, and City Manager Michael Mallis, who visited the Villa on the afternoon of November 4th to present a special proclamation to LOHV resident Rosemary.   We wish all the blessings of this season of thanksgiving to our residents born this month!

Notre Dame Volunteers Make Fall Fun

Fun is always in store when Notre Dame College volunteers visit the Villa. They made this year's Turke y Bowl tournament a real success,
and were on hand for other T hanksgiving-themed fun and games. Many thanks to all LOHV volunteers for g enerously donating their time and tale nts this month.

Congratulations, Dennis and Jackie!
Awards and recognitions went out this month to LOHV employees Dennis Giangiacomo (Maintenance) and Jackie Raines (Wellness). Dennis received the Ohio Assisted Living Association's prestigious Outstanding Director of Facilities award. Jackie received the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging's Para-Professional Award for her outstanding service to our residents.

The Villa was proud to host the WRAAA's annual awards ceremony in our Activity Center.  Thank you, Dennis and Jackie, for the years of care and compassion you have shown our residents. Light of Hearts is a better place because of you!

Honoring Our Veterans
On November 11th, there was a beautiful ceremony honoring LOHV's veterans. It was attended by Vice Mayor Paula Miszak and Councilwoman Marilyn Zolata. Thom Sivo and Diane Hart distributed pins and recognition certificates to our veterans. The Bedford High School Band represented all branches of the military with a rousing p rogram of patriotic music. Our veterans also received recognition from the offices of Senator Kenny Yuko, John Barnes, Jr., and Shontel Brown.

We are grateful to all of our veterans for the selflessness and courage they showed in service to our country.
