Alumni Stories Project Coming in 2017
Charles Armstrong School turns 50 on October 5, 2018 and the festivities kick off next year in 2017.  We are looking forward to is our Alumni Stories project where we document your stories about how Armstrong impacted your life.  Stay tuned for more details about how to participate.  In the meantime, below is an Alumni story recently posted on our Facebook page.
"This School changed my life when I was younger. When I was diagnosed with dyslexia in 1st grade I was so thankful my parents sent to me this wonderful institution. It was many years ago, but all these years later I feel so grateful for having attended this life changing institution. Not only did Charles Armstrong help me succeed and give me the tools I needed to achieve in life, but it also helped me become an amazing writer. Almost ironically, English reading/writing ended up becoming my best subjects in high school and college! Even went on to advanced English courses. I often wonder if Mr Douthit and Ms DeLuca are still there. I can still remember Mr Douthit running after us in 2nd grade playing Starwars music for PE, such great memories. Or when Ms DeLuca would have all us kids dancing. So long ago, in fact I remember my last year in 4th grade, Mrs. Whitlock was taking over the position of principal the following year, looks like she did a wonderful job shaping the school!"

Career Day Opportunity
Career Day is Wednesday, February 1st in the morning.  This event is an opportunity for Armstrong 5th to 8th grade students to meet with professionals from a variety of work settings so they can begin to see the diversity of careers available in today's world.

We especially love to include alumni and others with dyslexia to present on this day.

If you'd like to participate or have a suggestion from someone we should invite, please email Jill Jacobson by clicking here.
Alum Zach Adamis talks about working at Disney.
IT specialist and alum Jon Alderson talks at Career Day last year.
