WINTER 2016

In 2017, MCCF will be making some exciting changes to our grant-making process that will allow us to move the needle in one specific area by making a larger, more impactful grant. The grant will focus on one of three priority areas: housing, transportation and health. If you have a stellar nonprofit program that addresses one of these critical needs, we invite you to apply in February.

As the holidays approach, a gift to the community fund is the perfect way to honor a friend, family member or colleague while making a lasting difference in our community. The people you honor will receive a card letting them know of your gift in their name. Stock transfers should be initiated by Dec. 19, but gifts can be made online via credit card until midnight on Dec. 31. We're grateful for your generosity!

In rural southwest Medina County, residents who don't have personal transportation often have difficulty getting to work, school or doctor's appointments. Thanks to a recent grant to the Matthew 25 Coalition, these residents are getting back on the road. The agency provides emergency assistance for car repairs, gas and insurance, ultimately helping families become self-sufficient.

Winter is just beginning, but we're already planning next year's Spring into Summer event. Mark your calendar for June 22, 2017, when we'll usher in the summer season and announce our 2017 grant recipients. Tickets will go on sale in the spring, but individual and corporate sponsorships are available now. It's a great opportunity to enjoy a night of cocktails and hors d'oeuvres while supporting our community!
