2017 Perinatal Program Regional Practice Sessions

During the weeks of October 2 nd and 9 th, our perinatal program staff traveled the state ( Madison, West Allis, Green Bay, Eau Claire, and Hayward) to lead Regional Practice Sessions for 100  First Breath and  My Baby & Me healthcare providers. 

"Improving Resilience: Incorporating a Trauma-Informed Care Mindset into Perinatal Programming" was the theme to help providers increase their awareness of trauma's impact on health, specifically the influence on tobacco and alcohol use among pregnant women, and the need for Trauma-Informed Care.
We're Hiring! Maternal & Child Health Educator 

The WWHF is seeking a  part-time MCH Health Educator to be part of the First Breath program.  This is a field-based position serving approximately twelve counties in Northern Wisconsin. A home-base near Rhinelander is preferred. However, applicants residing in other locations in Northern Wisconsin are encouraged to apply.

11th Annual Dialogue - Breakthroughs in Breast Cancer


We had over 100+ people join us to discuss "Breakthroughs in Breast Cancer" at the 11th Annual Dialogue on October 18th!

Attendees gained access to new information and tools related to breast cancer and breast care. Thank you to the sponsors, speakers, and exhibitors for helping us share information about breast cancer prevention, genetics, screening and technology!

EveryWoman's Journal at the Library

On Thursday, October 19th, our EveryWoman's Journal Program Manager led a journaling workshop for women at the Madison Public Library. Participants learned expressive writing techniques to help them with  stress reduction and self-care

This was one of several upcoming EveryWoman's Journal workshops being held in partnership with the
Madison Public Library System
