Our office will be closed on December 23 and December 26. We are busy collecting and distributing gifts and meals to those in need in our township. We have had such wonderful support from our residents and our community continues to support neighbors in need. I won't have time to put a newsletter out next week, so I am sending this early. I wish you a wonderful holiday season and thank you all for the support you give Fremont Township.

On 1/4/17, the new signals at Hawley/Lake Street and Hawley/Midlothian will be turned on. The signals at Hawley/Seymour and Hawley/California will be turned on 1/5/17. Once the signals are activated, the contractor will begin working on removing the temporary signals and poles. As the weather allows, they will place the remaining pieces of sidewalk that had to wait until the poles were removed. Also, after the signals are running, they will begin optimizing the signals to help improve the traffic flow through the intersections.

We were lucky to have the schools, businesses, churches, community groups and residents donate food for our pantry this season and we will be sorting it on Thursday, December 29 at 9:30 am.
If you would like to help, we will be in the lower level of our administrative offices at 22385 Route 60.

Fremont Township gladly accepts used and new coats to be given to our residents. If you have coats, hats, gloves or boots that you feel could be reused, we are happy to accept them. You may also drop them at the Area General Store on Park Street or at Jays Quick Pick at Midlothian and 176. We are low this year on children's coats. We would appreciate you checking your closets. You can always leave them on our doorstep after hours. Thanks!
