The Learning Community Executive Council is planning the first annual LC Talks event. This event, which is similar to the well-known TedTalks series, is aimed at providing a platform for students to share interesting perspectives about their world and activities that they are engaged in, with their peers.

Learning Community
Innovation Zone (LCIZ)

The Learning Community Innovation Zone (LCIZ) held three additional maker workshops in November; Creative Strategies with Legos, LED-Lit Keycahins with the Learning Community Ambassadors, and a Google Cardboard activity. There are two more workshops planned for this semester; Circuited Greeting Cards on 12/1 at 6 p.m. and 3D Modeling on 12/3 at 2 p.m.

If you would like to take advantage of the LCIZ open hours (Monday-Friday 12-5 p.m.) this Fall semester, please be sure that you complete the safety training, which can be found on HuskyCT.  If you cannot find the safety training on your HuskyCT, or if you have ideas of workshop topics, please contact Cody Ryan at cody.d.ryan@uconn.edu. The Spring 2017 LCIZ hours will be available soon.
