"Inspiring students to love God, their Catholic faith and learning."
Advent

To encourage Mass participation during Advent we have placed slips of paper with a small prayer on them in the back of St. Peter and St. Andrew Churches. When students and their families attend Mass each weekend of Advent, they can pick up a slip of paper at church.

On Monday of each week students will bring in the slip of paper and add it to the advent prayer chain in school.

If your family is not Catholic, or attends another place of worship, or attends another Catholic church they can bring in their bulletin and receive a slip of paper on Monday at the office. The Mass schedule for St. Peter is Saturday evening at 5:15, 7:00 p.m. and Sunday at 7:00. 8:30, 10:00, 11:30 a.m. and 1:00pm in Spanish. St. Andrew.  Masses are Saturday at 5:30 p.m. & Sunday at 9:30 a.m.

Library News
We would like to thank everyone who supported our Barnes & Noble book fair! It was our last one, as the Jefferson City store is set to close this month. The total sales for the day were $6,412.18 in store, and $102.01 online! The library will have a gift card to Barnes & Noble, for $1,294.68, which can be used with our educator discount of 20%. We will receive the gift card sometime in January. We look forward to making many of our popular series current and adding books requested by students!

Again, we would not have been able to have such a successful fair without the support of our St. Peter School families and friends! We hope you have a safe and blessed Christmas, spending time with friends, family, and lots of good books!

Gifts for Birthright
We would like to continue a tradition started in 2004 at St. Peter Interparish School.  In order to reinforce the true meaning of Christmas, we encourage as many children as possible to present baby gifts to the altar during the last school Mass before Christmas on Wednesday, December 21st at 1:45p.m.  Students will be presenting their gift, in honor of the birth of Jesus.  This is strictly on a voluntary basis.  The baby items will be taken to Birthright to be distributed to mothers in need.  The items do not need to be fancy or new.  No large bulky items please.  Clean, used items in good condition are welcomed.  Some items of need are blankets, sleepers, tee shirts, socks, baby wipes, toys, clothing for children up to size 2, and formula.  There is no need to spend a lot of money.  If you choose to participate, please have the gift ready to present at the last Mass of the year on Dec. 21st.  The gifts do not need to be wrapped.

Excused & Unexcused Tardy Policy
Students are considered tardy, unexcused, if they are not in the building by 7:50 A.M.

On days where there are obvious traffic or weather issues, the administration will waive this policy, making the student's absence an excused tardy.

Parents need to sign the tardy slip, for both an excused and unexcused tardy.  This lets the school know that the parent is aware the child was tardy and not in our care at 7:50 A.M.

If you still have questions, please call the school office.
School Cancellations
School cancellations due to weather will be sent 1st by text.  So if you are not signed up, you can do so by visiting our school web page and looking under the parent information tab.

We will then post it on the school website & Facebook. The television and radio stations will be contacted.

Email is not our preferred way of notification, unless we are already at school and will be dismissing early.

Please do not call the school to see if we are cancelling early. When a decision is made the parents are the first to know!
Lost & Found
A lot of lost & found has been turned in. We have a cabinet full!  It will be put out on a table outside the office for the next week, then it will all be donated.

Cold Weather
Now that the cold weather is upon us,  please have your child(ren)  dress appropriately for the weather.
We take children outside for recess as long as the temperature and wind chill are above 25 degrees.
