Hammond-Henry Hospital Welcomes New CEO

The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Mark Kuhn has accepted its offer to become the new Chief Executive Officer of Hammond-Henry Hospital.
Mark is an accomplished healthcare executive with more than 31 total years of experience. He was a senior leader at Lake Forest Hospital, and has spent the past 17 years with the Springfield Clinic as its Chief Administrative Officer. His duties there included responsibility for many departments and functions similar to Hammond-Henry Hospital. Springfield Clinic is a very large multi-specialty physician group with 30 practice locations including rural clinics, and more than 400 physicians and advanced practitioners.  As such, he brings significant experience with physician recruitment and practice, business development, contract negotiations, and clinical financial management. He joined the Hammond-Henry team on Monday, October 23.  Mark and his wife Judy are native to the region, and are excited to get involved in the Geneseo community.

Mark  succeeds Michael Lieb, Interim CEO. Mr. Lieb served as Interim CEO for three months during the CEO search process, after Hammond-Henry CEO Jeff Lingerfelt resigned in July to accept a position with Adventist Health, in Tehachapi Valley, California.

Clinic Growth at Hammond-Henry Hospital

Members of the Geneseo community and surrounding areas may be familiar with the Specialty Physicians Center at Hammond-Henry Hospital.  The Specialty Physicians Center  hosts clinics in  a variety of specialties. The one thing community members may not know is that the Specialty Physician Center has moved within Hammond-Henry Hospital.  Its new location is now accessed through the North Entrance (near the north elevator).  This change has come from growth within Hammond-Henry Hospital.  At the beginning of October, the Hammond-Henry Hospital Regional Health Partners (family medicine clinic) opened a Geneseo clinic in the former Specialty Physicians Center area (accessible from the East Entrance).  This addition to Hammond-Henry Hospital compliments the strong clinic base offered at the hospital. It is not always necessary to travel to a larger city to see a specialist. Currently, Hammond-Henry Hospital offers several specialty clinics, as well as family medicine clinics:

- Audiology
- Cardiovascular Medicine
- Family Medicine
- HHH Regional Health Partners
- UnityPoint Clinic
- General Surgery
- HHH Surgical Clinic
- Nephrology
- Orthopedics
- Pulmonary / Sleep Medicine
- Urgent Care (Colona Clinic)
- Urology

With the exception of the Colona Clinic, all the above clinics are offered on-site at Hammond-Henry Hospital.  To learn more about the providers, please visit hammondhenry.com or call 309-944-6431.
