High Five for King Street
We recently received a "High Five" award from King Street Center. Educator Linda Wellings reflects on our 20-year partnership with King Street Center to change the lives of underserved kids.
Celebrating the Beauty of the Farm: A New Rizzoli Publication
We're excited to share the work of longtime friend of the Farm, Glenn Suokko. His new book, Shelburne Farms: House, Gardens, Farms, and Barns follows the evolution from estate to the National Historic Landmark and nonprofit dedicated to educating for sustainability that we are today. Period photographs and Suokko's own new photography showcase the campus, and over twenty recipes were created by Inn Executive Chef, Jim McCarthy.

You can preorder the book here for holiday gifts, and it will be available for purchase in April 2017.
Cheddar for the Holidays
Dining tables are set for a crowd this time of year, and what better way to start a shared meal than with a cheese plate featuring some Farm cheddar  (Which was recently verified as GMO-free!)? Our Cheese Sales Manager and resident cheesemonger, Rory Stamp, shares his tips for building the perfect board. With the right context, accompaniments, and a little attention to detail, you'll find it's pretty simple to delight and impress your guests.

Farm Update: Forestry
We've wrapped up a lot of forestry work this fall to prepare for next year's sugaring season. We've expanded our sugarbush by 450 taps! Maple sugaring is one forest enterprise that helps make Vermont's beloved working landscape viable.
Finding Inspiration from Our International Network of Educators
We were recently inspired by other dedicated educators at the UN Regional Centers of Expertise Conference of the Americas in Curitiba, Brazil. We were representing Greater Burlington, which was recognized as a Regional Center of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development in 2015.

The Britt Family
"Shelburne Farms has had a special place in our hearts since the first time we stepped on the property in the 80's. The buildings and programs have evolved over the years, but the essence and soul of this remarkable place haven't changed.

Yet, it isn't just the physical property that draws us; it's also the dedicated staff and extraordinary educational programs and outreach. Also, Shelburne Farms was a perfect place to instill voluntarism in our three children -- from showing visitors how to make butter and ice cream to working with families on winter gifts.

We are committed to supporting the educational programs and protection of this very special place." Read more here.

Shelburne Farms is a nonprofit organization educating for a sustainable future. Our campus is a 1,400-acre working farm,
