Cost-free arts classes commence on January 21, 2017
Lafayette, IN  --  The Tippecanoe Arts Federation has made registration available for the Spring 2017 semester of the After School Arts Program. A diverse set of arts classes, ranging from clay arts to guitar, are available for registration. The After School Arts Program collects no fees for class participation or registration. The only cost to register is a commitment to 100% attendance from students and 100% engagement from parents and/or guardians.

The After School Arts Program will host three visual and three music-based classes this semester. Visual arts classes include "Fantastic Fish and How to Make Them," an elementary class with Corienne Bruner; "Art Flexibility," a student-guided class with ASAP student-turned-faculty Ree Smelser; and "Clay for Kids" at Angela Taylor's LaLa Gallery. Music classes include beginner lessons in guitar, banjo, and fiddle.  All classes are intentionally designed as engaging educational experiences, supplementing and reinforcing academic standards.
