Families only have 10 more days to apply to UCC's day program for September 2017. Late applications will only be reviewed once admission decisions for pre-deadline day applicants have been made (February 24, 2017) pending space availability. Generally, we do not review any late applications to our entry grades. Thank you to everyone who has submitted a boarding application in time for our first round of decisions in December. If you're still looking at UCC for boarding next year, it's not too late to get your application in for this early consideration. Boarding decisions are sent on a rolling basis through to May, although spaces fill up quickly so we encourage families to apply early. 

 

UCC's varsity football team claimed its fourth straight Conference of Independent Schools of Ontario Athletic Association (CISAA) title, a day after the varsity soccer team did the same -- for the tenth time in 12 years.

UCC's Model United Nations (MUN) team was named best delegation at the Secondary Schools MUN Symposium (SSUNS), held at McGill University in Montreal, for the fourth straight year.  Approximately 1,500 students from 72 schools took part.

The Grades 4 to 6 play was an adaptation of Roald Dahl's fantastical BFG (which stands for Big Friendly Giant).  The Grade 7 play,  Good Cop, Bad Cop , saw two rookie detectives solving a mystery about a catastrophic street sign switch. Our reviewer gives two thumbs up.

Boarding student Simon Guo and his team placed third and received the SAP Innovation Award at the Electric City Hackathon at Ontario's Trent University. Their project: a remote sensing system that scans agricultural and environmental data and gives real-time feedback.
